ZCode
~/.zcode/v2/config.jsonusing ZCode's anthropic kind. That choice lets ZCode use Anthropic server tools — web search and web fetch — which Prism answers locally for free.Last updated Reviewed against Prism v0.3.26
Why the Anthropic kind
A provider declared as openai-compatible only gets OpenAI-style tools. Declaring it anthropic instead gives ZCode access to Anthropic server-side tools, and Prism emulates those locally — so ZCode gets working web search and web fetch without any API key.
/v1/messages itself for an Anthropic-kind provider, so Prism writes the bare http://127.0.0.1:11434 with no path.One-click setup

| Field | What Prism puts there |
|---|---|
| name | The model's route key, used in requests — matching ZCode's own lowercased-slug convention. |
| displayName | The readable name from your Prism catalog. |
| limit.context / limit.output | Your configured context length and max output, defaulting to 128000 and 16384. |
| modalities.input | text, plus image when the model reports vision support, so ZCode offers attachments. |
| modalities.output | Always text. |
| reasoning | Written only for reasoning models: the model's own effort variants, defaulting to high. |
The fixed provider UUID
Prism uses a constant UUID as the provider key, mirroring the format ZCode itself assigns to custom providers. Because the key never changes, re-syncing updates the same block instead of accumulating duplicates, and disabling the integration deletes exactly that key.
Add MCP servers
ZCode's MCP servers live in a different file from its providers: ~/.zcode/cli/config.json, under mcp.servers. Prism writes an HTTP entry there with no enable field at all, since absent means enabled in ZCode. See MCP Gateway.
